| Bmi is an airline that goes back to 1938. Few people will remember Derby Airways from the late fifties but plenty of pople will still remember it's former guise as British Midland, a fleet flying from East Midlands airport near Nottingham and Derby using smaller jets and covering many of the European airports not visited by the likes of British Airways and EasyJet. They rebranded in a serious way, ditching their old name and image and aiming at the future with an internet-friendly name and profit spiralled between 2004 and 2006. |
