Bmi is an airline that goes back to 1938. Few people will remember Derby Airways from the late fifties but plenty of pople will still remember it's former guise as British Midland, a fleet flying from East Midlands airport near Nottingham and Derby using smaller jets and covering many of the European airports not visited by the likes of British Airways and EasyJet. They rebranded in a serious way, ditching their old name and image and aiming at the future with an internet-friendly name and profit spiralled between 2004 and 2006.

Another class-leading airline with a decent website - the competition is high in this sector and Signapore airlines is competing well. Nice graphics and tries hard to help the user find what they are looking for.

A strange site for a company that puts so much effort into being class-leading in everything it does - the site looks oddly "old school", and still does things like funny pop-ups and crazy multi-level menus that are frustrating to use. And even some "flash" menus which still suffer from the IE-introduced bug - come on boys the world is moving on without you!

Love 'em or hate 'em, Ryanair certainly get in your face and the site acts in the same manner as their PR machine. Personally I'd rather be flown at 35,000 feet by someone who commands a little more respect, but there are thousands of others who just want to save a few quid - you takes your choice!

Another branded masterpiece from Stelios and his "crew" - slightly dliuted at present as the site tempts you with a splash page showing hotel offers - don't get greedy now! (still like the site though)

Branson has thrived on heavyweight branding and this site does nothing less - still nice to use though

The BA website has remained true to it's cause, representing this great british brand extremely well and serving it's customers and potential customers very well. The company may be going through a few changes at present as the competition hots up, but we love them still.
